The woman who gives everything and asks for nothing-has made a request. Therefore, who am I to deny?
She actually only asked for the sock monkey, but I figured a bonus granny square blanket would seal the deal. I am not completely done with either but I am almost there. I just need to make a border for her blanket and her monkey needs a tail and some eyes. Once all that is done then they both with be ready for their pictures.
Most of my knitting/crochet requests come from the sister, so it feels good when my little mama puts in her request. Mother's day is one of my favorite days of the year. It may have something to do with the fact that I love gift giving, way more than gift receiving. (I get that from my mom) So this weekend the rest of the projects will need to be put on the back burner till I get her gifts completed.
It is not the weekend yet so I am finishing up some other projects. Tonight my green scarf will be getting the royal treatment- a little cold soak and some blocking, then BAM this baby is done.
I found this pattern on Ravelry when I was looking for a scarf pattern for someone else, it was insta-love! I am using my Sundara, in Tickled Pink. I usually have a real hard time using my Sundara because once I knit with it- it's gone. From the moment of cast on, everything became clearer in my knitting world and I now understood that Sundara is actually meant to be knitted rather than just admired. :) Who knew?
Off to celebrate that it is almost Friday!
