That sounds like an weird joke, doesn't it? After a long and emotionally draining week The Stitchies (my knitting girls) and I decided to forgo the coffee shop and opted for a local sports bar for our Knit Nite. We definitely did not get a lot of knitting done, but we ate some great greasy food and had a "couple" beers. I think this was one of my favorite meet-ups. It might have something to do with the fact the we had some football going on all around us. Did you know that I love football and absolutely live for its start l every year? (I will tell you more about that another time)
So here are some pics of our fun evening. Please excuse the darkness of the pics. (The only draw back of knitting in bars is the lack of good lighting)
Here is Emily and Anne getting down to business. Next time I will try to get more picture of the actual projects they are working on, because they have some seriously brilliant projects on the needles.
Emily crocheting happily away! She is one of the fastest knitter and crocheters I know. So it seems only fitting that I happen to get a picture of her in action.
Here is Melly cheesing it up. I think she worked on her scrap yarn blanket all of about 15 minutes. :)
Proof that something other than drinking and eating going on!
It was good times. A few of the girls are going through some really life changing events (good and bad) so I think this is all what we needed. I am so thankful we all have each other in life and in yarn. :)
The weekend is here that means time to get down to getting down to business with projects. I was able to work on a few things this week. Mainly worked on squares for Swaps. Here is one that will be the second e I mailed to Vienna Autria.
It was a fun pattern. I used my usual favorite yarn, I love this Yarn (Hobby Lobby).
I will have some more project pics tomorrow, just thought I would stop in and share my Friday night with you. Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Can't wait to check out Blog-land tomorrow!
