...socks. I have a love affair with knitting socks and I think I always will.
They were the first thing I learned to knit (not counting a garter stitch square), and I don't feel complete without a least one pair on the needles. I no longer knit socks out of need, since I seem to have quite a few now. I simply knit them because I love to. I am trying to finish up my Dublin socks by the end of the month so they can count as a finished project for this Ravelry Group. The month of February is the letter D. I only have a little time left in the month, so I better get on it.
Speaking of finishing. My test knitting is complete and the pattern has been released by the designer. That allows me to show you my finished project.
- Pattern: Karkom Wristwarmers
- Designer: Robin Lynn
- Yarn: Madeline Tosh Sock- Gossimar
- Needles: 3
This is a lovely pattern and if you can imagine it is free. Robin is just an amazing designer and person. You should cast these on!
Well loves, it is very late Sunday night and I need to be getting my beauty sleep. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Enjoy a tune from my favorite girl.
XO
Andi

Ah. You have the tosh. Those wristwarmers are lovely. But I think just about everything in tosh is lovely.

What lovely wristwarmers! Is that you modelling them? As much as I love knitted socks I know I am destined not to be a knitter of them as I only ever knit one sock and never bothered with the second - I think I like larger projects rather than smaller ones. Yep, I'm weird like that LOL
And you don't need beeyootee sleep - you're far too lovely as you are!! XO

it's possible that i am a sock knitter, deep in my heart, but i just don't get around to knitting them anymore. i live vicariously through knitters like you.
great lace wristwarmers, too!

Those wrist warmers are simply beautiful! I think that I will give them a try! I certainly feel the same way about socks. I always have a pair going at any given time as well.

Those warmers are so beautiful, I may just have to cast them on soon. Good luck finishing up your socks!

beautiful knitting andi, the socks are lovely in that color and oh my, the m.t. mittens. i am a fan of hers and i love this pattern, so thank you so much!
i used to knit socks, but it breaks my heart to see all that work hidden away or gasp! end up with holes. but i agree there is much satisfaction in the making!

We should always give ourselves permission to knit what we love because we love it -- thank you. As for the wrist warmers, I'm casting on immediately. I love them ... and hats off to our girl, Adele. A true talent if there ever was one.

That "shells" colorway is extraordinarily beautifully. I find myself gazing at it. Such a subtle and soft complexity. You must be loving it, watching the fabric grow :) Thank you again for test knitting!

I understand the sock thing :O) I continue to knit them even though my sock drawer is full but I don't mind being the girl with 127 pairs of socks hahahaha This year I am limiting myself to 12 pairs, it is hard but I am managing!
Your wristwarmers are delightful,
wishing you a lovely week XXX
