I didn't add the picot bind off, because I thought it was pretty without it. I also shorted the lace pattern by 2 repeats because yarn was running out. Even without all that, I am quite smitten with this shawl.
Between shawls and socks, I fear I have an addiction. Want to see another shawl I have cast on?
This is in addition to another shawl on the needles. See told you I am having a shawl addiction!
Any addictions keeping you busy lately? Hope you are having a great start to your week. :)
I have a friend that knows I love the U.K. She uses this knowledge to send me treats.
This friend asked me if I would like her to send me tea...and this is what she sends.
I know, right? She is like my own personal Santa Claus. I think me and my tea are going to be very happy in the coming weeks.
My generous friend also sent me these beautiful yarns a couple of weeks ago. She picked them up from the Wonderwool event in Whales.
Some beautiful sock yarn!
I am seeing a very wonderfully soft shawl in my future with this lace yarn.
All of this was perfect timing because I just happen to be working on a new shawl that I am knitting with some gorgeous yarn that I purchased from her shop. Just a sneak peak. I will share more this weekend.
Is she an artist or what? I do think I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a talented and amazing friend.
I will be back this weekend to share with you some new projects on the needles. Have a great rest of your week!

Told you I would be back Monday to show you some new eye candy. I even surprised myself. So here we go with some lovely new yarn, projects, and just things that caught my attention.
First up yarn!
Those lounging lovelies are from Twist & Twine. I purchased these from the main store page, but you can also find more of Camilla's yarns at her Etsy store. Check out her blog for yarn updates as well as her wonderful projects. Not sure what I am going to knit with these, till then I will probaby just cuddle them to death.
I know if you saw this in a yarn store, you would think..Andi! Yeah so did I. This pinky yarn comes from Creature Comfort Creations. Bonus the seller and creater Sarah could not have been nicer.
Okay, enough cutsy yarn, let's get dark.
That's what I'm talkin' bout. Dragonfly fibers Dragonsock in the color Heroine.
This fiberpfile sqooshy sock yarn may or may not have been purchased because of it's color name, Nightwalker. Okay it was, but will you take a look at it? Both yarns were purchased from The Loopy Ewe because I needed some new sock needles. :)
Okay go purchase some yarn then come back, because I have some other fun things to share with you.
I finished a scarf today. It should have been a stole, but I wanted a scarf.
I am having a serious crush on it too. Not only was it a wonderful knit, but suprisingly quick.
I have had a long time love affair with the designer. His patterns are perfection.
If you have never knit lace, I would highly recommend any of Jared Flood's patterns. They don't leave you scratching your head as some patterns do.
Enough about the pattern, let's talk about this lush yarn. It is Wooly Wonka fingering weight yarn in Pewter. The appearance is beautiful in the skein. Knitting with it was good, it wasn't any different than any other lovely yarn. The beauty of this yarn comes after it's soak and blocking. I could swear it has cashmere from the feel of it. Don't you love it when that happens?
So what is going on this weekend? Well in a few hours I will be lunching with my sister and nephew. Sushi it is! Then it is on to more knitting and show watching. Then just your typical weekend chores. I will be back Monday with some yarn enabling. Boy, do I have some eye candy for you!
Something that brings a smile to you face, just because it is there.
I follow my own advice often. Some have said these socks are Suess-like. Others claim them to be Harry Potter style.
All I know is that they make me happy. After finishing the first one I immediately wore it, as I knit on the other with one bare foot. The yarn is wonderful and the colors striped nicely. You may remember that I bought the yarn from this Etsy seller. Since then I have bought more and I am really trying to restrain myself from knitting another stripey pair immediately.
Other than knitting it has been quiet on the home-front. Which can be a good thing. Just enjoying some knitting and visiting wonderful blogs and goodies around then net. You know I can't leave without sharing a couple with you. So here you go..enjoy!
Nothing gets me more than a pile of beautiful knits.
Since I recently frogged a couple of projects, I cast on what seems to be everything in sight!
The pattern is Autumn Leaves Stole. The yarn is Wooly Wonka Fibers in the color Pewter. That pattern is insanely wonderful, then again all of Jared Flood's patterns are.
Some more gray has been cast on for this Shawl. I am using Blue Moon Fiber Laci yarn that I used from a previously frogged project. The yarn is working great with this pattern. Only goes to prove to me that frogging was a good idea.
I have wanted to cast on this shawl ever since I saw Dona's. I mean who wouldn't?
Now I will be saving you from saving you from so much gray and assaulting you with some serious color. These Monkeys have been cast on for a sock swap partner who requested a pair of bright socks. I think these will fit the bill. :)
These bright socks bring the total pairs I have on the needles to three. Yeah!
Changing it up a bit, I have been dabbling in some stitching. After drooling over images of Chawne's beautiful work I decided to work on my own. Here is the start of a blackwork sampler I am working on.
Whew I have a lot going on. Doesn't feel like it because it is all so fun. That is the point right?
What else..hmmm..oh cooking some soup from a recipe that my mom gave me for Potato and Escarole soup.
A perfect soup for these chilly Arizona days. Heh- chilly as in 100 plus degrees. :)
While all this craftiness is going on, I have been watching some episodes of Felicity. Remember that show? It is cute and has just enough drama to keep me entertained. Talk about entertaining I am addicted to the new series of Game of Thrones. Have you seen it?
I will leave you with a trailer of Game of Thrones and wish you a wonderful rest of your week!
See you this weekend!
Happy Yarning!
Andi
