Happy Sunday! I can't believe I didn't let this Sunday go without a post, as this week seemed to get away from me. How about if we start off with an FO. I know it surprised me too.
Yarn: Biscotte & Cie Felix sock yarn in the color Loopy Elves
Needle: Size 1.5
Maybe it helped that I stopped casting things on? Who would have thought that would work? heh! As I mentioned last week to help me get things off the needles, I tried to work on finishing one project at a time. Since one of the five socks has been finished, work on this Hitchhiker has begun again.
Once the grey started, I was uber happy. Grey yarn just has that affect on me. So there you go a short progress report, but still progress.
In other news I received a sweet and unexpected gift on Love day. BTW, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day and felt the love. Okay back to me...hehe!
My dear friend Jody sent me some lovely yarn and the best card. Way to perk up your week! Is there anything better than the gift of yarn? Okay maybe a load of cash, but still yarn is still right up there.
Okay..now back to you. How was your week? Anything special, exciting, inspiring happen? Basic goodness happens here all the time, therefore this week was no different. I have been craving a casserole. Not sure what kind, just a good comforting casserole. Any recipe recommendations?
I am going to head out, and will leave you with yet another inspiring video. I just love the art of creating and those who create. Have a lovely week!
XO
Andi

nice job on the socks - the stripes match up really well. they'll make you so happy when you look down at your feet.
glad you like the yarn :) can't wait to see what you make with it.

Congrats on the socks. The shawl is looking pretty too.
Not a casserole as such but Jamie Oliver's fish pie is my go to comfort food. Ive seen 2 versions posted on web and tend to go for the simpler white fish version. Happy Sunday!

happy sunday andi!
such pretty socks, how cute those will look peeking out from your shoes! love the color of your shawl it looks like a fun knit. my favorite casserole is plain old macaroni and cheese! or sometimes special versions, my favorite is with gruyere, bit's of lobster, truffle oil and topped with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. it's a wonderful treat!

Thank you for the video. What amazing work. And what amazing socks. You have been busy. I have been making my way through Chart D. Only 27 rows to go before the edging. I am trying not to wish it away so I can cast on something else. And casseroles...my kiddos and I love this one http://albioncooks.blogspot.com/2006/02/cheese-and-lentil-gratin.html if you want meatless.

LOVE that colorway on the socks. Love. Wait til you see what I'm doing with grey yarn! Uber-soft grey yarn, no less! hehe...it might be a while, though. It's a heck of a lot of stitches.
As for casseroles, I have my favorite green enchilada casserole. Creamy, cheesy, mild, gooey goodness. Drop me a text if you want me to send you the recipe. :)

like the socks, but love the shawl more... I need some yarn like that...yeah right, like I need another hole in the head. :) :) :)
Don't know if this is an actual casserole but Shepherd's Pie (Cottage Pie)is of one of my favs...husband likes is very much too...nice thing with this is you can split it up into two, or even four portions...in small dishes and freeze it...and then you have it when you want it!!!
hope it's nice and chilly there so you get to wear your yummy socks...xxx

Ooh, gorgeous colours in that Hitchhiker.
My week? Varied, manic ... but the knitting I posted about on the blog yesterday has been brightening my days :D

So glad that you're seeing finishing progress despite the many projects you cast on.
That yarn you got must have been a wonderful Valentine day surprise! Awesome.
Casseroles -- my go to favourite is the sweet potato casserole found in the Cooking Light 2007 cookbook. I'm sure you'll be able to find it on their website.
Have a wonderful week!

Oh once again those socks are lovely. And the hitchhiker is a very pretty color, you picked well. V-day kinda just came and went here but then again maybe that's because I was in studio all day. :)

Lovely socks Andi. And the color is just gorgeous!
V-Day was as usual, but the 15th was very sweet (it's was our 6th anniversary!)Yarn as a Valentine gift sounds wonderful! My bf never offered me yarn : he says I don't need his help to contribute to what he calls, my "yarn madness".
Wishing you a lovely week!

Your socks are lovely. That colourway is just gorgeous. A wonderful blend of colours.
I adore casseroles. There's nothing quite as comforting as a bowlful of something hearty with a chunk of crusty bread. During the winter I'm always cooking them in my slow cooker. Sometimes I follow a recipe, but usually I just decide on what meat I want and throw in some veggies, seasonings, herbs and a splash of wine or ale. The smells ... oh my. They really make the whole family drool :)

I love seeing socks come off of your needles. I still haven't cast on a new pair in MONTHS. It's starting to get to me. But I must stay monogamous with two sweaters for now.
