This last week felt extra long and was one of those where you think of nothing but the weekend. Which of course does not make the week go faster. Despite knowing this, all week I thought of all things I needed to do this weekend but when it came I realized what I needed most was a peaceful knitting weekend.
I found it. With household chores out of the way, I started some new socks. Actively sought out things/activities that were quiet. Some of my hours where filled with listening to beautiful music and nothing but knitting. Other hours I binge watched Youtube channels that were about kindness and doing for others- it was like rehydrating my soul. Topping it off with watching To Kill a Mocking Bird. Oh and lots and lots of tea was consumed.
Yarn~ Opal The Little Prince and the fox.
A lovely perk to the weekend was the knowledge that I would be starting a new pair of socks since my January socks have been completed. There is something to be said about sticking with a project before starting on a new one...sometimes. :)
Additional happiness happened to kick of my peaceful weekend when a surprise package arrived. These thoughtful gifts are from my lovely friend Emma who lives in England (my dream destination). I honestly believe we create in the most amazing community. It is a privilege and something that I never take for granted. Not because people send me gifts but because I consider you all friends and knowing that makes every day/weekend that much better.
Hope you had your own peaceful weekend. What do you do to create that special time when your soul craves it?
Enjoy a song and have the best weekend!
