It is October, peeps! Don't you find it exciting to see what lays in wait for us when a fresh new month is ahead?
I finished up a pair of socks using a new to me yarn, Funky Carolina. Unfortunately this dyer is not longer in business, as I really enjoyed knitting with this yarn. A long time ago I posted about how much I loved knitting with Malabrigo and that if I had to knit with only one yarn the rest of my life Malabrigo would be it.

I still love Malabrigo, but I feel that I have "grown" in my yarn tastes. I enjoy different types of yarns then I did 4 or 5 years ago. Have you found that to be true for you as well?
Maybe you used to enjoy knitting with commercial yarns or saturated indie dyed yarns and now find rustic naturally dyed yarns to be more pleasurable? Or vise-versa. Then there is always the possibility that it doesn't matter the fiber content as long as it's washable because that fits your lifestyle.
Yarn options is another thing. Some of the yarns that I knit with now wasn't as "in" as it is today. What I mean by that is, I don't remember yarns like BFL being as prevalent. They were there, but yarn that was a mix of Merino Cashmere seemed more of what was on the menu. Is it entirely possible that I was blinded by MCN bases and wasn't seeing all the yarn options available and it clouded my vision of possibilities. Yarn has a way of doing that to me. :)
Now to you, have your yarn tastes changed with each passing knitting year? Would you be to commit to a yarn if ask the typical, " If you were stranded on a desert island.." question?
Have the best day today!
