As I have mentioned earlier in my posts, I am not a big fan of blue maybe this scarf I made for my sister could change my mind.
I made this a while ago and my sister just got around to capturing it for me. And did she ever capture it?
I wish I could remember what yarn I used, all I remember is that it is washable. The pattern is Argosy from Knitty. It was a really fun pattern and recently I have been thinking about making another one with some sock yarns from my stash. Hmmm..this scarf in a Madelinetosh sock yarn, devine! (Slap) Excuse me I had to slap myself so that I can remember that I am currently drowning in WIPS and I really need to finish at least one of them.
I tried to take this weekend to get some WIPS off the hook, but instead got in too deep with another crochet blanket.I blame Flickr- people are posting some seriously inspiring crocheted blankets there. I probably have a minimum of 10 new blanket ideas. That reminds me, I have not posted a picture of a blanket that I crocheted for my sister a couple of months ago. I posted it on Flickr and everyone has been extremely kind with their compliments, so that must mean my sister is on the something with her love of all things bright. What do you think?
Anyone who know's me knows this blanket is super bright for me. I have to admit it was never boring. (Smile) I loved making this for my sister because these colors are right up her alley and I know that she uses it.
Well so much for finishing WIPs this weekend. It is Sunday and that means in depth crocheting/knitting is going to be on a little bit of a hold.
Hope your experimenting with colors outside of your comfort zone!
XO
Andi
Of course I love the bright colors in these photos and the wonderful gifts!
