Hi my name is Andi, and I like to weave in ends. There I said it.
At first I thought if admitted my "problem" that I would lose friends because they would be repulsed by my nonconformist view on weaving in ends. On more than one occasion I have been in a group of knitters/crocheters expressing their disgust with the inevitable end to their project and sat there and said nothing. (the shame) Today I am at home and find myself working on a new blanket and face to face with it. From the safety of my home, away from the appalled looks I decided to out myself. Now with my secret out, I am weaving and trimming happily in hopes that there are others out there just like me. Are you out there?
Okay so here it is, my friend Emily if you are reading this you may want to look away before scrolling down.
This yarn frenzy is my newest favorite project, ZigZag Blanket by Attic24. I seem to be going for a sherberty theme with these colors. As you can see there are a lot of ends to weave in-Yippee! I like to put on a long movie that I have seen before that I don't need to pay too much attention to and get down to business. Today's featurette... Emily, again look away! ( I think she would rather than weave in ends than watch this movie.)
Okay so maybe I have more than one "problem".
Off I go with my darning needle at the ready. Hope this post puts it out there that even if you have odd tendancies you're A-OK with me.

Sometimes I have so many ends, that after I'm finished weaving them in I have the feeling I was abducted by aliens...the memory of doing them does not exist!

Hi, I just found your blog and I really enjoyed reading this post. I HATE weaving in ends - you can come over and do mine any time ha ha. But good on you for "outing" yourself. Each to their own, hey.
I have also started making lots of little squares for an Attic24-style zigzag blanket... but, alas, at the moment, that's all that it is - a pile of squares. Yours looks beautiful and has made me feel motivated to get on with mine again.
