After I have had a case of the yucks, the first thing I want to do is, everything! Not to whine but that one really took the air out of my sails. It is over now and just in time for my Saturday, so I am pumped. Man oh man do I have a day planned for myself. I bet you can guess some of it involves yarn. (actually a lot of it involves yarn)
Let me show you some recent purchases. First up some new coffee cups. I love my cup of Joe and I love to have something funny or cute to pour it in. I tried not to show the bad word, so as not to offend. :)
Next on the list of newly acquired treasures-yarn! These are for my sock yarn blanket. I know it kind of defeats the purpose of using scrap sock yarn but they were having a great sale at Simpy Sock Yarn and my sock yarn blanket could use more pink. (not really)
As you can see I couldn't wait to roll up the bottom Claudia-it is Strawberry Latte. Quite Yummy. The top Claudia's are Watermelon and Passionfruit.
While I was stuck on the couch I also started knitting up a cute hat. I don't know about you but for some reason when I am ill I lean towards knitting rather than crocheting. I started this hat from Woolly wormhead, she is my favorite hat designer. Her patterns are easy to follow and the results are always amazing.
This hat is going so fast that I can swear it is knitting itself up. The yarn is Fleece Artist's Sea Wool-Blush. It gets more beautiful with every stitch.
Once again my misson this weekend is to get some WIPS done. Seeing them sitting there idle on my sidebar and in my Ravelry projects makes me anxious. There is nothing like the feeling of completing a project is there?
Off to make the most of this great Saturday. Going to need to cut trips to Blogland a little short if I want to get anything completed. Before I go in case you haven't seen this recent post from Uncommon Grace, It reminds me of the true pleasures of life.
Happy Creative Saturday!
XO
Andi

I'm glad you're feeling better! I'm with you--I want to knit when I'm sick. I've wanted to order Strawberry Latte for a while--I can't wait to see yours in person!
