Things (WIPs) are coming together. No, I haven't finished all my WIPs despite my self-imposed deadline. The one where I decided to start my KAL mystery shawl with a clean slate of no WIPs. The WIPs are still lingering on the side bar, but they are throwing me less menacing looks. I have made them understood that I will finish them eventually but that there is no rush. That will mean less stress for me and a neater finish for them. So this Sunday, I took care of one of them. Here is the Malabrigo grannies inspired by Attic's Summer Garden Granny Square. I turned my squares into a pillow.
Ahhh...what a good feeling! Proof that I am taking care of business today. :)
The Lucy blanket's border is still being worked on, then all that that will be left will be to weave in a lot of ends. Then that will end my crochet WIPs. Looking back at the last few projects I realize that I was on quite a crochet ride. Now I am read to get back to my knitting needles.Check out this love I got in the mail yesterday. Can you honestly tell me she is not begging to turn into some fabulous socks?
Malabrigo Sock yarn- Primavera. There are so many incredible colors in there, my photo doesn't even do her justice.
This weekend I was able to check out blogland. I know now that my projects are heavily based on what is going on out there. Maybe that is why my knitting needles are calling out to me. Here are a few that are inspiring me:
A Friend to Knit with is working on another one of her Slouchy Cardigans. I so want this pattern.
Knitterella had some pretty pink ribbed socks.
Bungalow 312 has some socks that I think my new Malabrigo could possibly turn into.
Not to be left out, the hook has also spied some beauties.
Deebee's blanket makes me want to swoon.
Ruth Marie's ripple is really singing to me.
Blogland was really good this week. I have some ideas for some new books I am wanting to read, recipes to try, and movies to watch. Speaking of shows to watch I will be receiving Season 1 of this TV series from Netflix. Has anyone seen it? I have heard good things about it. How cool is it that I wear those exact heels when I knit? (not really)
I am going to go now and whip up some dinner. Oh... and thank you all for your votes of confidence regarding my venture into color-work. I will keep you posted on how it is going!

The granny square pillow is adorable. And that yarn?? I'm sure it will knit up to some gorgeous socks.

Love your darling little pillow! And that new yarn? Serious yum!
If only I knit in heels too - sigh. Instead I knit in my grubby pjs & greasy hair ;)
