It is muggy, overcast, and just plain hot! Okay I am done with my whining. Just needed to get that off my chest. It our monsoon season and although I have lived in Arizona some 20 odd years I don't think I will ever get used to it. Here is my view today...
It looks deceivingly delightful doesn't it? Well I figured two can play at that game. So I am pretending that it is a nice chilly day which will include some comfort knitting and baking. (and turning that air conditioner way down)
The lace leaf scarf is still actively on the needles.I took a tiny break from it at the end of this week in order to knit a nice little quick project.Do you ever need one of those projects that feeds the knitting soul? For some people it may be socks or a nice chunky scarf. My little choice was Elijah, renamed Ella Fitzgerald.
Isn't she love? I made her for my mom and sad to say that as of this morning she is already in her new home. I almost couldn't bear to part with her. Ysolda really created one of the sweetest faces ever. Mwah!
In case you did not get enough pinks with Ella, I will share some more with you. I visited Little Knits earlier this week and bought myself some yarns that I have never used before at incredible prices.
Frog Tree alpaca fingering in Deep Fuchsia. It is extremely soft and decadent. I am not sure yet but I am thinking some fabulous socks. It was 60% off, I mean come-on, I am only human.
Check out these Spring colors! It is Wildfoote sock yarn- Sonata. Really really soft. I can't wait to cast this on.
Hello, I am Noro and I am always fantastic! I have used Noro before but I have never used the sock yarn. I am thinking of one of the many lace scarfs I have in my Raverly favs. (I have 285 favs- nuts!) What a treat new beautiful yarn is. :)
Speaking of treats, do you want to see some of the yumms I spotted in Blogland this weekend?
Jane posted a beautiful Citron.
Andrea's chunky little hat almost got me to drop Ella Fitzgerald.
Marilyn oh Marilyn...those pillows. Are you kidding me?
Laura is working on some great socks that I might consider using my Frog Tree yarn.
I could go on and on....but if I want to get anything done today I am going to have to shut off the computer. I think some simple chocolate chips cookies are screaming to be made. Thank you as always for visiting me, Happy Week to you!

Thanks for the link! Love your Elijah....so adorable. I don't know how you deal with the heat in Arizona in the summer. My in-laws live in Phoenix and they pack up and disappear every summer because of the heat. Hope your day of 'pretending' is great and you have a lot of knitting :)

Rats. Thought I could sneek that teeny, tiny little project passed you....ha! *grin*
But, hello?!? You post pics of the most gorgeous yarn & most adorable elephant and how can we NOT want to just reach for our hooks & needles??!!.....
Have a good one. As usual -- you have given me my weekly dose of inspiration.
