This week I had a nagging feeling that I was forgetting something. I feeling that something was amiss. It came to me after I re-read my last post. I miss my knitting projects, I need a summer of some lightweight knitting projects. I still have a sock yarn blanket and movie sock that I need to finish, but that is it. Oh, disregard the pink flame scarf. That is frogged. A friend's little one got a hold of it and needless to say there were too many stitches to pick up after it was found. Better to start over. Looking at my sidebar I realized I am not one of those people that can only have a few WIPs. I like to be all over the place. I am cool with that. Over the last few days I scoured Ravelry and stalked Flickr to see what is going to get my knitting mo-jo run red hot.
I looked no further than The Twisted Goddess (Twisted Knitter). I found it odd that I am a self-proclaimed #1 fan of hers and yet I have never knitted her Lace Leaf Scarf. Found the yarn from my stash that I envisioned the finished scarf in and away I went. The yarn in Tosh Sock-Alabaster.
Pattern is amazingly simply and just downright wonderful. Paired my knitting this morning with the most accurate coffee cup and I was in business. The coffee cup was a gift from the Sister. (She is a very smart sister)
Wait..I added one more knit to my summer knits. I saw Joli House working on this and I have always wanted to try one. These nice autumn colors are Dream in Color's Smooshy- Chinatown Apple.
WARNING!!! If you have a heart condition that is brought on by too many WIPs please do not read any further.
They say everything is better in threes...
Grabbed some Malabrigo sock yarn in Rayon Vert from the stash. The pattern in from Purl Bee-Checkerboard Lace Scarf.
My Summer of knitting seems to be lace and deep rich colors.Perhaps I am trying to will winter with my color choices. The crochet travels (other than the Swaps on Ravelry)are to be on a temporary hold, might have something to do with the fact that is 112 degrees outside. I am still trying to finish Lucy but having that hot blanket on my lap gives me heat stroke just thinking about it!
A nice three day weekend is going to be just the thing to get some of the knits going. Hope everyone is celebrating with the ones you love lots of good eats. I will be having the best nephew in the world come kick it with me tonight, then it is a little BBQ tomorrow with a friend. Other than that it is going to be a nice lazy weekend.
Happy 4th to all, enjoy your weekend!

***Correction Joli house is working on Austin, not featherweight. I can't remember how Amanda inspired me to knit the featherweight cardigan, but I remember it started with her progress pic of Austin.***
Oh what a shame that your scarf got frogged! Know that feeling though when a little one gets hold of a project! (Or a dog for that matter! lol!)
Hope you're well

I am fighting a strong case of startitis my self.Still plodding on with my Austin which I really want to be finished for my trip to Ireland in 3 weeks. It is killing me but I'm going to force myself. Your creamy lace scarf is seriously tempting me though! :)

I love your color choices. They are very fall, but oh they are lovely. Your blog is like yarn therapy for me. :)
I am sad that your other projet got frogged. It happens though and I'm sure you'll pick it back up later.

Thank you SO much for knitting my scarf pattern! I am in love with all the yarns in your photos. If I break down and buy Chinatown Apple, it will be YOUR fault :-)
Again, thank you! Hope you are having an awesome 4th of July!

I'm with you, sistah! I need to be all over the place, unlike another, more disciplined friend of ours, LOL! My Box 96 vest is almost done...just the edges to go! Hope to wear it to work tomorrow, so you can see it then! xoxox
