My first FO of the year is my nephew's blanket. To say it was a labor of love would be putting it midly. Not because of the work put into it but because it seems it look forever to find just the right pattern. I am pleased with my final decision and I hope he is too.
Working away on row after row of DCs gave me a lot of time to think about the him. My nephew is the love of my life and is a teenager. With each stitch I put a lot of thoughts and wishes into the blanket, because with teenagers gushy stuff has to be on the sly.

It looks great! I really like the colours a lot. I am doing something really similar - lots of stripes in UK trebles. I'm making three stripey panels and then will join them together so that the stripes will change every so often across the row. Almost finished the first panel!

Oooh! I love the colours, and the fact that the blocks go in different directions (if you know what I mean!!)
Can't wait to see it finished

Beautiful and simple. A perfect knit for any teenage boy I would think.

It's just gorgeous. He is one lucky 'man-in-training' as my husband says... and in case your wondering, apparently they "stay in this training phase until they are married, at which point they need retraining" ~ says my husband.

I'm also knitting a blanket at the moment... So soothing... Yours is beautiful! I'm a little surprised it contains some blue! Looks amazing all the colors together!
