Busy as a bee....and adding more to it as I go. In addition to long hours again this month at work, I decided what the heck let's add some more things to the mix! First up I am participating in this;
If you would like to participate or just looking for some new and interesting blog topics, visit here. I am really looking forward to it.
What else? I decided to join this swap. I have purchases the yarn and hopefully be here very soon. In the meantime I have been playing around with some ideas and looking through some books for inspiration. I think I may have decided what pattern I am going do, now I just need my yarn to get here!
Oh...before I show you my next project, I have to tell you a sad story. There was an incident. This incident involved a wonderful lunch that I packed for myself and my nearly completed Noro scarf. On this particular day I confused my knitting project bag with my lunch bag- I do not know why. Why I didn't close the lid completely on my soup that day- I do not know. An hour or so later I arrive at work and a co-worker tells me "Something is dripping from you bag". Same co-worker helped me to rinse off items in my bag (which I am still thinking is my lunch bag) . Then before I could say stop, same co-worker was running my scarf under hot water with soap and water! That was the end of my nearly finished Noro scarf. Did I mention that is was nearly finished? In order to work through the grieving process I cast on another scarf.
Nothing like some fat Malabrigo to help ease the pain. The pattern is Saroyan. It is an easy pattern to memorize, so it will be replacing the Noro (whimper) scarf in my very clean project bag. No more food in the project bags!!
Speaking of food. Check out this salad I put together last night. Isn't it pretty? Is it weird that some of us like to snap shots of our food? I don't know, I just go with it.
So I will leave you with this little funny, because I am sure that you haven't got enough of your Charlie Sheen fix for the week. :)
Have a wonderful week everyone!
XO
ANDI

Oh no - so sorry about your scarf! Put your soup in a flask - it shouldn't leak again then hopefully. The knitting and crochet week looks interesting - I might just partake in that! Don't work too hard my dear!!! :) xxx

Oh my goodness - that is heartbreaking! I know how you feel - I dipped my $120 yarn in my tea glass the other day while I was waiting in the car line. I was in tears but at least I think I salvaged mine.
On the upside, your new project is adorable!

so, did you save your lunch? in your horror of losing the almost finished Noro scarf, you didn't mention if the lunch survived!!
I'm sorry Andi...that was an awful thing to happen and I'm sure the co-worker must feel terrible....I don't know this, so I'm asking...does Noro "felt" if washed...?
well, your new one will make you happy when it's finished, so maybe it was meant to be... I looked at this pattern and it was all goobledegook to me on how to do the leaves along the edge....you are so clever to be able to do all these wonderful things...I hold you in awe!!!
lol

Oh no! Your Noro scarf... I hope you enjoyed knitting it and will knit it again. I would knit another Noro scarf anytime! As for taking pictures of food, I almost did the other day and asked myself the same question. I think I'm not ready for that yet LOL!
