I am only into my third month of my Sock Goal for 2011, but I think I am on a roll. I am finishing what I am starting and the results are some fun socks for me. My Citrus Striped socks are now completed. I finished yesterday.
I wore them all last night! Yeah me. I already started on my fourth pair. I was inspired my this movie. If you haven't see it you really must. Even if you don't have kids, like me, you will be in for a visual treat. It is a nice change from CGI movies.
I was also inspired by St.Patrick's day and the beginning of Spring.
The yarn is just amazing and really seems to work well with the simple pattern. The yarn is Pagewood Farms-Alyeska in Birds of Paradise.
I hope the month of March has treated you all well. I will be back on Wednesday to announce the winners of my giveaway. I have really enjoyed reading your responses and now I have some new yarns I want to try. :) Happy Yarning everyone!

Aaaah St Patricks Day!
I remember once, a long time ago when I was in my twenties, that I once drank several pints of Guinness in order to "claim" my prize of a Guinness style Leprechaun hat. I never got to claim my prize - that damned Guinness filled me up so much and I was so bloated I didn't eat for two days after!!
My daughter is half Irish so will no doubt be celebrating Paddy's Day! The green yarn you are using is truly beautiful - just gorgeous colours!

I have three grandkids. Where can I find this movie? And I love your sox. I am dying to try some. My only knitting has been washcloths and one pair of slippers. Kind of a sock, no?

So many lovely socks! I have a few projects that want to complete before knitting socks... Sometime I think I am crazy for waiting so long... where did you get this lovely butterfly marker? Have fun knitting the St-Patrick's socks!

How did I miss hearing about movie? I'll have to look into getting my hands on that for the girls.
Your socks are so pretty. I need to just conquer my fear and try to make a pair of socks... one day... I promise... they're just so scary! Before the end of the year - I promise I will have made some... there I've said it AND promised it so now I have to do it.
Just don't laugh when I'm stuck in the fetal position behind my knitting chair.

Amy, socks aren't scary--Andi and I promise! They are so much fun to do, and as I tell all of my knitting students: remember, YOU are the boss of the needles! Make them do what you want them to and you can't go wrong! :)
Andi, what yarn is that citrus color? Is it KnitPicks? LOVE LOVE LOVE!
