By the time this Friday came, I was so ready for it. So I woke this morning thinking ahhh...what to do first. Yarn therapy is indeed on the list of musts for today.
The month of April is almost over and it is obviously from my WIPS basket that my monogamy goal for 2011 is in the toilet. The only positive things is that my WIPS are nowhere near what they were last year. They are a tad bit more manageable. This next two weekend will be dedicated to getting some of these babies completed.
My Miter blanket is coming along. I have decided to make 25 squares, so only 21 to go. :) Good thing these are really fun to knit. So it seem to me that I have my work cut out for me in the yarn department for a little while.
On the weekends I enjoy taking my knitting to my patio, while the weather is still bearable. I would like to create a little knitting oasis on my patio. So I am taking some time to draw some inspiration from a few magazines. Can you imagine knitting on this patio? I can.
This morning I have already founds some loves.
- I am thinking of adding this, to my bedroom wall.
- I would love to be as creative as this lovely lady. Sometimes I think a blog post would not be complete without me mentioning her. Then I worry that she will think me a stalker. :)
- Even though winter is long gone. I still crave soups. One of my favorites is French Onion and when I saw this recipe I knew I had to add it to my soup recipes.
- Always a love and source of constant sock inspiration, they can make even me, love the color blue.
Hope you all enjoy your Easter weekend!

That patio looks Derrreeeeaaaaamy!!!! Love it! Love your knitted squares too. I so wish my knitting was better. I have never picked up that vest since I started it back in January - I'm hopeless with the knitting lark. Must. Try. Harder. More.

This is a beautiful patio! I would love to knit on such a patio too! About your WIPs, if I were you, I would start with the ones that are most advanced! These are all socks right? No worries then! On my side, I have the objective to finish my Thermal this weekend! Then, I hope to start knitting socks! Yesterday, I almost casted on some "eastery" yarn (my Summer Sox) but I resisted and worked on Thermal instead! Have a great weekend dear!

Andi-
Your mitered squares look so good. I love those crosses! I also really love looking at your works in progress basket. You've got a lot of good stuff going on. I've been dallying online today as I attempt to write a paper. The paper is still in the beginning stages, but I did find a great sock pattern that I'm going to try out with the madelinetosh sock yarn you sent me. Yay!

I'd like to knit on that patio! I love your WIP basket, and am particularly taken with those stripy socks. Such pretty colours!

It's nice to see that I am not the only one to fail at project monogamy... I'm just destined to be a stitching strumpet, I guess.
Your patio choice is gorgeous in that photo but something tells me that real life application would involve a lot of swatting and grumbling... lol. How about just coming to my house for a visit and we'll knit by the pool instead?

Lily and I would join you on that patio! We always point out 'knitting porches' on houses if we see them. Dave thinks we're crazy!

That would be my dream patio, too! And keep going with your WIPs ... they all look wonderful.
