Just a quick post to show off what has been on and off my needles this week. Quick because I seem to have gotten some type of stomach bug, that has just downright kicked my arse!
So do you want to see what I crocheted for my baby?
I found this doll on the floor at a local Goodwill and fell in love with her. I named her Siren after a childhood friend. The sister always needs hats for some of her baby photo shoots. I had some extra yarn so I cast on this hat. I had no model so Siren stepped up. :)
Then I cast on another hat for one of my Ravelry groups.
This by far is one of my favorite hat patterns. It only took two nights. The yarn is Malabrigo Worsted-Cognac.
Other than that, I have been sleeping alot and knitting on socks when I have been awake. Oh, and I told you in the previous post that the sister and I went to see Bridesmaids. It was hilarious. The sister and my face hurt from laughing after it was over. Melissa McCarthy (from t.v. show Mike and Molly), stole the show for us.
I hope you all are having a fantastic summer weekend and able to get out and enjoy your weather. Most of us don't here in AZ, because it is too darn hot! :) Enjoy a song that I have been singing around the house at the top of my lungs. This is really scary considering I cannot sing at all.
XO
Andi
Being ill is seriously crap! I hope you feel better soon - flush out that nasty stuff with plenty of water :) Love the owl hat a lot - that's some knitty skill going on there my dear!!
My daughter LOVES Florry and her little machine!!! She plays the CD a lot (apart from when she is playing all that dance music crap that seriously blows my mind - it's all beeps and boops - where's the music in that?! When MTV goes on when she gets home from school, I disappear into the kitchen for sanity - I MUST be getting old lol!!)
Take care and GET WELL SOON xxxxxx

I'm sorry you've got a tummy bug. Ginger, in any form you wish, will help. Your new baby is just adorable - perfect model for that little hat.
I hope you're feeling better soon - I don't go out because FL is no better that AZ. I'll venture back outside around Christmas... when it's not 'surface of the sun' hot.

Hope you beat the bug by now... heatwave in NY, too, so not much time in the garden or taking walks but that does mean more time knitting. Love your puffy stitch hat for Siren. xo

Lovely doll and hats of course! You know what, I just noticed your new banner! Really nice! Has it been up for a while? I too sing and dance in the house! It's good against stress they say... I'm sure my neighbors can hear and that's why they smile to me ;-)

Andi, sorry to be late to the party with my wish that you are feeling better.
So glad that you rescued Siren from the floor - what a sad place for a doll to be left!
The owl hat is just too cute for words. I'm going to start knitting one this evening. Thanks for the link!!!
