I feel for you all I really do. Temperatures are soaring for most and the humidity beyond miserable. Here in AZ we try to stay indoor and keep hydrated. Then there are those of us who like to defy the sun gods and bake our butts off when it reaches 103 and then some.
I am not saying it is sane, I am just saying this is how I roll! :)
Other than baking, I caught a movie this weekend and had some incredible Cajun food. I am working on finishing up knitting projects this weekend. So I won't bore you with more progress pics. Next weekend I should have some FO photos.
If you are looking around blogland, you can check out some things that had my attention this weekend.
- I am completely smitten with this video podcast.
- A must for my coffee cup stash.
- Making a promise to myself that I will knit this lovely for myself in a charcoal gray this winter.
- Having a mad crush on a scarf and blog.
- Decided that my August socks will be Mystery Sock KAL.
Just thought I would check in and see how you all are fairing the heat. Hope you are all cool in your homes and knitting happily away or maybe you get some pointers from Marilyn on how to stay cool.
XO
Andi

Heat, what heat?! Brrrrrrrr...it's cold over here!
I want your cupcakes! They look yummy.
I know what you mean about progress pics. I have just embarked on a major knitting project and I'm going to have to find something else to blog about. Stocking stitch ain't that interesting!!
Have a great week x

I was surprised to learn that it is hotter in places like Philadelphia, PA or New York, NY than it is down here in west central Florida! Made me count my blessings and get outside a bit more... not a lot but a bit because it's still nasty hot.
You know how my week has gone but I'm working on finding my smile... just a smirk thus far but it's better than a frown, right?

I was reading the news again this morning and I think it is atrocious and extremely sadening how this one man has stolen the lives of all these young people... About the weather now, here too, north of Montreal, was a very hot week with temperatures that beat records from 1955! I'll be knitting a little bit more in the coming days since I'm on vacation (although it seems like I'll be pretty busy even if I'm not going anywhere in particular)! Thanks for the links, I now have two more blogs to follow (so less knitting time) ;-) Have a great week!

That is probably one of the prettiest and most tempting cupcakes I've ever seen (and I'm a huge cupcake fan!). Seems like the whole country is embraced by the heat ... hydrate and knit! xo

I hear you on the heat . . . we're struggling here in SE Texas but hope to get some relief from the tropical storm. That cupcake looks delicious!
Thanks for posting your blogland links - I find some awesome bloggers from your eye candy (along with that Mystery Sock KAL that looks really fun).
Hope you have a great weekend!
