I've said it before, maybe not to you, but to her. I think we were best friends in a previous life. Sometimes it seems odd to have a connection with someone thousands of miles away. A person you have never met in person, but feel closer to than most. We share the same love of music and leading men. :) We laugh over Friends episodes of the past, (She is Monica-like and I am Joey-like). We talk about foods we love and drinks. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture.
So I came as no surprise when I opened my mailbox and had an early birthday present waiting for me.
I love it all. Homemade beautiful goodies galore! A fantastic book that reminds me of her, that I just love. Now to go through and say which is my favorite, would kind of like saying you have a favorite child. But I am going to anyways.
Since her spinning debut, I have secretly wished that she would send some my way. Is that wrong? Not to me. It only goes to prove what great friends we are, that she would send it to me, hopefully knowing that her hand-spun, would be the one of the most treasured gifts.
I know someday we will meet and "paint the town red". We will knit, drink, eat, and rock out! Then we will visit our "never-met" bestie Marilyn and give her wet willies!
As a thank you Ruth...Don says hi.
Andi
It's there already? Holy cow!!!!
I really wasn't expecting delivery that fast. I sent it early because I know sometimes it has taken up to three weeks to get things over to the US and I wanted to make sure it got there in plenty of time before your big day but a week?!!
Was the yarn really OK? I was so worried when sending it because my spinning isn't perfect by any standards and I wanted the first yarn I sent you to be just that. I just wanted you to get some for your birthday and have been practising spinning like a demented woman and that was my best attempt to date - my skeining sure needs some practice though!!
I love that tea cosy book too! I'm going back to geet another one for me - those chicken cosies are wicked awesome!!
You so know I'm coming over to AZ one day....... ;)
And as for Don ............... thank you indeed!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm X0
Early I know but I hope you have the most fantastic birthday!! xxxxxx

if you bring Don with you, you can wet all the willies you want...:)
and no it isn't wrong to lust after that beauty...it makes me want to throw everything away and get a wheel and some... whatever it's called... and spin til the cows come home...or maybe in this case, sheep.
