Love the feeling of marking something completed in the Rav queue! Today I can say that this shawl is done.
This is my first completed shawl, so I did pat myself on the back a couple times. Another first was working with Wollmeise yarn. You know the yarn that seems to be all the rage on Ravelry. The colors are lovely I agree, but enough to have people staying up till 3 in the morning for a shop update? Not for me, there are way too many wonderful indie dyers out there that have comparable yarns and colors for me to loose sleep over. Would I say no to another free skein, probably not! The yardage is fantastic (575 yards) and it does plump up beautifully after a good soak.
Next off the needles will indeed be a pair of socks. I haven't lost my love for them. I also really want to get a couple blankets completed. Want to see a blanket that will have you ooohhing and ahhhing? It is a blanket being worked on my dear friend Evelyn. Evelyn is one of those special people that make you feel better just by knowing her (you know the type). She has a great blog too!
Amazing, I can't stop drooling over this blanket!
I hope you all are having a fantastic week. Oh and before I forget my girl Ruth is having a shop update soon, so make sure you watch for it. She will be updating it with some newly dyed sock yarn-you all better get there before I do!
XO
Andi
Congrats on finishing the shawl. It looks quite cozy.
What socks are you going to sneeze off the needles next?

Love your shawl. I've been admiring that pattern. (Most of my knitting is socks.) I love the lace border and it looks like it will be warm--I'm thinking variegated light teals for mine.

Love this shawl! Feather and Fan stitch is always beautiful! And I've already said that, but the color is just gorgeous!

Your shawl looks amazing and so much better than mine - the lace detailing looks so different to how I knitted mine! Now I am questioning myself as to whether I followed the pattern right. No matter I guess.
And as for THAT blanket? Holy cow that is beeyooteefull! I am going over there right now to have a look at Evelyn's blog.
(PS Thanks too for the shout out - you are too cool for doing that mwah!!!)

That's one pretty shawl. It's a lovely feeling isn't it, that moment when you shift from WIP to FO :D

Yay on finishing your shawl! I would have loved to see it on you though to get the full effect of the pattern.
That blanket is absolutely swoon worthy too!

You do know that I'm blushing, right?? Firstly, your shawl is such a stunner. I am beyond impressed! I feel so inspired to take that pattern off my queue and cast-on... maybe even tonight!! And truly, thanks for your sweet words. You are one of my favorite people, and I'm so glad we're friends! xo

What a beautiful shawl!! I love the tones in the yarn too. I knew exactly what you meant by the yarn "plump" -- Really is a sign of quality yarn that squish factor.
Your blog is just another danger to me! (I'm definitely a frequent flier heh) That Missoni Inspired blanket would make a great gift. I must focus. Your distractions are lovely :) Happy Knitting/Happy Day.

That yarn IS fantastic - the shawl looks so cozy and yummy! Great knittig as well.
I've never knit a blanket, I've always crocketed. Evelyn's Missoni love blanket has fantastic colors and is making me want to bundle up!
