This time of year Sundays replace my Saturdays as my favorite day of the week. Could it be because football season is in full gear?
Why, yes! My Denver Broncos has been part of my life since I was born. I have great memories growing up of the yells and cheers, up and down my neighborhood. I do as most football fans do, I craft and drink beer on game days. ;)
Another great happening this time of year, Socktoberfest has begun! I am participating as a way to finish socks on the needles and use up some old stash. I will be finishing up my Cosmic socks, hopefully tonight and I have already cast on 2 new pairs.
The reason for 2 is because my friend Ruth gifted my this pattern on Raverly. She has always gifted me with her lovely crocheted items, yet I have not gifted her with any knits. I decided that I would knit us up the same pair of socks from the pattern. I may very well be tired of this pattern my the end of it, but so far so good.
What are you up to this time of year?
XO
Andi
Wow! You're on fire! Two new pairs of socks... While you are knitting 20 pairs, I'll be knitting only one ;-) Football is not a big thing here. It's more hockey, he he... I look forward to seeing your Cosmic Love socks and the new ones of course! ;-)

I'm knee deep in Nerd Wars and Harry Potter House Cup competitions... wow, does my freak flag fly when I make that statement? Anywho - I just cast on for my Giving Geeks challenge (Think Pink - Breast Cancer Awareness) and so far so good. I still need to finish Pokey's sweater but I've honestly just lost interest. Wonder if he'd like a cable front vest instead? LOL, no... I'll finish it... some day.

Lovely socks as always! It's a very nice pattern that Ruth has gifted you. I'm sure she'll love them!
Doesn't everyone craft and watch football?! It was the AFL Grand Final (Aussie Rules, the national obsession and religion) on Saturday...everyone, but everyone was glued to the set...and I finished off a wristwarmer while I watched!

Love the hexagons and the purple/blue yarn is gorgeous! I've got Cmas knitting on my needles right now. A scarf with a hat to follow for my MIL and a pair of socks for my sister.

Socktoberfest? I've heard rumblings about it, but I didn't realize how widespread it was. Thanks for providing a link!
I do have several sock patterns I'd like to try out, but I think I may have to be disciplined and finish of the last half of my sweater sleeve.

Your hexagons are stunning. As for your socks-in-progress, as always I love your color and yarn choices. I'm into fingerless mitts at the moment and really enjoying making various mods on a very simple pattern. Fingerless mitts...socks... all the family!
