News flash, I am not a monogamous knitter. Heh, as if you guys didn't already know.
I often wonder if you guys are thinking, I wonder what happened to this project or that project. I know I sometimes do. I saw a question posted on Eskimimi's blog, asking you to decide which animal best describes your knitting style. Most days I think I am a bee, as I like to pollinate every project on the needles. While this does not lead to finished items as often as I would like, for me it is my style.
Some part of the day may find me knitting one happy stripe.
Moments later I will dipping into another project bag to work on some patterned socks. All this knitting is taking place at the same time as cruising through Ravelry for new projects. Don't get me wrong there are times when even I stop and say to myself, no more casting on. Finish something. The lovely part of that is that I have so many projects I can choose from. It is my own personal project harem. :)
A lot of knitting here and there this week. Oh and watching this great min-series on Netflix. There are not enough words to describe how much I love this show. The filming, the landscape and the characters are fanastic. You should check it out.
Hoping this week finds you knitting in your own personal style. Enjoy a song from show I mentioned and just have a great day!
XO
Andi
P.S...I have changed my name on Ravelry to make it easier to find me. My name there is now-Mysistersknitter!
I do love your description of pollinating your knitting, it made me smile this morning. I have two projects on the go, one is a three patterned number that requires me to be clear headed and relaxed, with time on my hands. The other is a no brainer and perfect for picking up and setting down whenever the moment arises. Having said that I didn't knit a single stitch yesterday and by the end of the evening, when it was too foolishly late to start, I actually think I had withdrawal symptoms. I just wish I could knit faster because there are so many projects I want to get on with :)
Happy Sunday to you. x
I love your little butterfly markers, btw.

Ha! I think I'm a bee too- having just received a whole load of yarn support this week I am aching to go 'pollinate' some new projects but MUST get the current ones done first! I am also very envious of how neat and tidy your projects are. I think I need some little project bags like that. Instead I have a horrendous heap of jumbled bags and stuff between my sofa and piano which I almost upended myself into the other week. Imagine how I'd have explained to the hospital how I ended up giving myself self-acupuncture in the head with some random DPNs?!

If this style makes you a happy fiber crafter, then who is anyone to judge? I loved each shot of each project. Your sock WIPs are my faves.

I am definitely in the bee category. I just can't seem to stick with one project! I seem to need something for a variety of moods and attention levels!

Well with so much gorgeous yarn in the world, I don't blame you for wanting to knit so many projects, not one bit. The striped socks are particularly cute! I've been seeing that show on my recommended list on Netflix, I may have to watch it! Thanks for the recommendation.

I love the socks! Those colors are so happy!
Thinking of yourself as a bee is brilliant - no guilt, no sheepish admission. Just who you are. I love the idea of a bee. I'm trying to decide what I'd all myself. I'm more of a round robin knitter. Not sure what animal that is.
Btw I have next weekend to myself and plan to watch that show. And of course some more Bones.

I was worried with the name change you might have changed your pic. I am so glad to still see Audrey :) In a perfect world I'd have WIPs all over my house. But I am married to a man that doesn't support my fiber habit. So sadly I am only able to work on one thing at a time (which I have to keep hidden during the day). I am SOOOOOOOO grateful when I get to knit without glaring eyes at me saying I should be cleaning, cooking or again cleaning. I have to hide what I am knitting so I don't have to hear his rant. Having WIPs to pick up and work on sound like a dream to me! My four year old asked me what Heaven is like. I said it is filled with your favorite things. Then he said Mommy Heaven must be filled with yarn. Of course I told him he was right. I am not sure if all this comment goes together, but I just loved your post today and I couldn't get it out of my head. I love all your project!

Oh my, those striped pink and green socks are the best! As usual beautiful projects. Always a pleasure reading your posts on Monday :)

I have three projects on the needles, each one satisfies a different knitting craving (of course). I have number four floating in my head but that would be insane so I hold back! Love the watermelon colored knitting :)

I always have a basket full of projects.. Right now I need to get a few OUT of the basket and into their owners' hands! I always have a few projects going, but sometimes I cast on too many things and start feeling overwhelmed. When I get that way, I know I need to start finishing things.

I love that you call it a project harem.
That must mean I have a yarn harem. Maybe my room needs a sign.

Andi, it's all beauty in progress. But I won't lie to you, I LOVE your project bags. I'm totally weak for them. It might've been you that got me combing etsy for them.

But having many different things on your needles makes it more likely that you'll have the perfect project to work on for whatever mood you're in! Actually getting finished items out of it all is just a bonus.

Hello Andi! Love this post, I wish I was a little bit less monogamous. Your knitting life sounds much more fun than mine :D
Love those stripy socks, and your knitting bags! Where did you get them?

Back in the day when I only had a few skeins of baby yarn in my stash, I was a monogamous knitter. Then - the fumes got me and it was a long, slow descent into addictive world of cast-on overdose. ~~~ sigh ~~~
But Holy Cow! Don't you just love Kims little Bunny Bags? I think I have 4 of them - all holding different projects in assorted levels of beginingness or almost completeness. It has become the norm in the yarny world I live in.

I am feeling exactly like a little bee too!! Truthfully it's driving me nuts; I'd love to finally finish a project! Your socks are looking lovely, both of them!

I had "affairs" all the time when I was knitting....it's hard to be true to 1 love I think in all this fiber goodness. Can't wait to see your beautiful shawl finished.
Have a lovely week.

LOVE LOVE LOVE those socks. And such a sweet post. Oddly enough I really just have one WIP right now, but I know how you feel about jumping back and forth. Happy Knitting!
