Is it me or is this year flying? In a couple of days we will be in the month of August. Just a random thought as I was sitting down to post. Anyhoo, it is Sunday and a close to what has been a great mail week. Maybe I should have titled this post serious enabling?
You may remember last month I posted about my favorite Indie dyers and asked you to share yours. Lori mentioned how much she loved Luna Grey. Look at these beauties. The one on the left is Lyra, a laceweight in harbor. The other two are Astro sock weight in the colors, Charcoal and Pewter.
Hard to stand the cuteness that is this Good to be a girl project bag. Really can you stand it? I may have my eye on a sweet Llama bag in her shop.
My first Plucky and I almost screamed it from the rooftops. Thank you, Julie. This puppy lasted in it's skein approximately 1 hour before turning into a yarn cake. Now its destiny will be a long beautiful scarf.
This sexy lot is Knitpicks Alpaca cloud laceweight. Thank you Jody! It is in the works of becoming a Cold Mountain Shawl.
There you have it, lovely acquisitions. May explain why I always have castonitis. Could you hold back from casting on all things if this yarn came in the mail? Well, most of you probably could but I am weak.
Before closing out my post of gluttony, I want to thank you all for your wonderful sock yarn scrap ideas last week. It is fantastic how many creative things you do or design with your scraps. One project that commenter and fantastic lady mentioned was her own design, the Jitterbug Boogie Headband. I know if the sister sees this, she will want one.
I will be back next Sunday to show some progress on knits (yes there has been progress), and visit with you some more.
Have a lovely rest of your Sunday!
XO
Andi
Lovely acquisitions Andi.
I got a truck load myself this week past. And they all came on Friday -- which as you know -- I really needed. LOLOL!
Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Seriously? You got all that in the mail?? What am I doing wrong? That Luna Grey yarn looks especially divine. Due to finances, I am on a yarn buying freeze and it is hard! You do such lovely work-can't wait to see your progress photos--and yikes...August is just right around the corner!
*smiles*

Ok, that is one cute bag. And the yarn! Stunning. Is it just a coincidence they are all muted/gray tones?

I almost fell when a shipment of Tosh came into my LYS. But I was strong.... and tempted someone else to buy what I had been eyeing.
Can't wait to see your Cold Mountain Shawl. It is quite pretty.

Okay, I have SERIOUS stash envy! Despite the fact that I end up knitting lots of colours, I do have a serious thing for grey (one of my billion projects I want to start involves using up colours and combining them with grey- yummy!) Can't wait to see what you do with all this.
PS Thanks for the Jitterbug Boogie mention :-)

Oh what wonderful things to come in the mail!

I want to squish everything in this post. That Plucky, was that from the preorder from several weeks ago? Does that mean mine is coming soon?? :D

Love the colours of the Luna yarn and I love the project bag too!

My problem is that I read your reviews and find myself desperate to order yarn from the US but can't because the import duty I'd pay is ridiculous. If an order is over $23, and that's including postage to the UK, I immediately have to pay UK VAT at 17.5%, plus £6/$10 for the privilege of having it collected from me. Maybe I should relocate to the USA!

Love the yarns and project bag, you always find the most gorgeous goodies. Thanks for sharing with us all.

That is not just good mail that is break-down-and-cry-it-is-all-so-beautiful-mail. I don't know if I have ever had such a good mail time as you have just had. What what a wonderful treat to cast on immediately. I would make myself wait till I'd finished my list of projects on the go and then probably the joy would have worn quite off. There is a life lesson there for me I reckon. Love the colours, the joy, the sheer abandon!

Droooooool. Gorgeous colours choices... I love the dark moody colours. That bag is insanely gorgeous too!

Those colors are just to dye for!! I love deep smokey greys and blues!!! Now tell me...when it arrived did you pet it, smell it , snuggle it to your cheek and call it " my precious"
Not that I do these things... (ahmm..throat clearing) BUT I hear it happens! ;-)
Ciao Bella!

I couldn't stand it. The Good To Be a Girl owl project bag was too stinkin' cute. I contacted the shop owner and she made a custom order for me! Whoo hoo! I contacted her Sunday, and even though she didn't have any more of that fabric, she got more from the shop she had purchased it from and had my bag made within a day. A day!
I let her know where I had seen the bag (linked to your blog post in my note to her). Thanks for sharing!
