Good morning! Woke this morning with the song from The Sound of Music, in my head (You know the one).I will spare posting it, as not everyone can deal with my morning moods. Small fact about me, I am a morning person. To the point that it can be annoying. Okay, on to progress.
Quite possibly one of the most lovely things to knit. Can it be the lovely leaves or the Malabrigo lace yarn? Most likely all of the above. What is making it more fun is the impromtu Woodland shawl KAL that is happening. Alice and Annie have both cast on this same shawl. This sounds like a case of, great minds thinking alike. hehe!
I will spare you the progress on everything else on the needles, and I do mean everything else. For fear of causing many of you monogamous knitters heart palpatations. Instead, I will jump right into loves from blogland and everywhere else. Work for you?
In my line of vision (aka what I am watching).I have been checking out some new or new to me video podcasts this week and weekend.
- Knitting Go! I could listen to her talk all day. Great projects and an understated humor that I love.
- Knittynatter, where have I been? Obviously I have a love for the Brits and yet I never watched this podcast. She is fantastic.
Sock stars! You must check out these new sock addicts amazing projects. Rather you should check out their projects, as I don't want to be bossy.
Inspiring me, non knitting.
- C's quilt. Amazing how through fabric and thread, emotions can be expressed.
- Beautiful images here and here, can inspire me to knit or create, even when the images are not knitting related.
Rest assurred, while I send you a lot of places, but I always love it when you stay and visit with me a bit. On that note, I have an idea. I would like you to tell me what you think. I may have mentioned that I have cast on all the things. Some I have shown you and some yet to be disclosed. Would you guys be interested in a finish it up KAL? Of course there would be some prizes at the end. Maybe what I need is some friends to motivate me in getting projects off the needles.
Tell me what you think. While you think about it, enjoy a sweet song and have the best day today!
XO,
Andi
Your shawl is stunning. I'm plugging away at my Quill and I casted on a EZ 100th Anniversary Camping Half-Circle. I also have a test knit cowl on my needles! Heart palpitations YES! I only ever work on one project at a time, but I am always so jealous of seeing all your gorgeous projects on your needles. You inspired me to have an assortment of knits to work on as my mood sees fit. I am loving it! Who knew.

Wow, I'm never the first one to comment (at least until today). I would love to be part of a finish-it-up KAL. While I'm not knitting all the things, I do have some projects that have been hanging around for too long. Count me in!

Lovely pink WIPs as usual! The KAL is a great idea and I would love to join but I only have two WIPs and I don't want to be pressured to knit since they are a bit long! However, it would be really nice to follow ;-) Lots of FOs!

Beautiful projects as usual Andi. I love the colours you're working with for these two.
I'll definitely go through my WIPs to see if it's possible for me to join your finishing KAL.
Happy Sunday and best to you for the upcoming week.

I am awful about KALs but I think that would be fun. I have a few things I want to finish.
Such a lovely pink shawl no wonder you love knitting it!

I am ALL in on a finish-it-up kal, Andi! I just decided that I was going to do the same thing yesterday (other than casting on a new pair of socks for car travel when I finish my Cadence today :) ... )
this always having a pair of socks on the needles is a wonderful idea and I wound the beachglass yarn you sent me yesterday so I would be ready the minute I kitchener my last toe!!

A KAL itself is already a big motivation, I'd love to join! That pink shawl you're working on is absolutely gorgeous (I believe I've said it already last week, hehe).

Gorgeous shawl in progress... it looks so delicate and wispy! Like you're knitting with cotton candy :) (now how delicious would THAT be?!)

Oh god, I so need a finish it up KAL. I cast on All The Things recently too, and I've been knitting myself out of that hole for weeks.

Beautiful post Andi! Thank you for the music too, it's enjoyable!

I would love a finish-up KAL! I'm getting attacked pretty badly by cast-on-itis, and mutual motivation to finish up sounds like just the thing.

I think the finish it up KAL is brilliant. I'll throw my hat into that ring for sure! Thank you for the shout out! I love when you knit in pink :)When I found your blog, you were all about the pink knitting.

I would LOVE a finish it up KAL! I have recently been thinking about all my projects and am feeling so overwhelmed. I've even told myself that I have to finish two projects before I can cast something new on.
Your shawl is gorgeous!!

Great minds clearly do think alike!
I'm loving the idea of a finish it up KAL and I have one very obvious candidate, what was an almost finished scarfy/shawly thing, that I pulled right back because I spotted a mistake halfway ... basically there's now 50% of it to knit again and I just can't seem to get back to it. If my darn shoulder will just stop niggling at me I'll join in :)

Ooo imminent closure on those fabulous WIPs. Can't wait to see the finished items. I am curious though, exactly how many WIPs have you got going? I am beginning to think it is slightly more than I (as one of the monogamous ones) can imagine!

Oh dear. I'm sure seeing all your new projects would give me a shock. As usual, I'm finishing more projects than starting, so I'd be game for a Finish-A-Long. I might have to start something so I could finish it.

My next post is going to be about all that i have on needles that need to be finished ..so my answer is yes ,if i am understanding it completely ..a finish it KAL would be AWESOME!
