The new year will be upon us. Are you ready for it?
I have made my list of resolutions. Does your list look like mine? Heh!
To help with my list, a new KAL is beginning January 5th. If I do say so myself it is the perfect KAL for all. I am positive your resolutions will fit in with the theme, you should join us.
My goals for the year 2014 is to knit more. I will not be concerned about an overflowing socks drawer, I will knit all the socks.
I have so many wonderful plans for the blog in the new year. Much of the same in a way, but some changes. I do plan on more yarn reviews/giveaways. Hint: The first yarn review is from the company pictured above. :)
I will continue to share with you loves, and try to feature more things to enable you.
I have strayed in the last year from my original plan to search out and support indie dyers. I am going to give a better effort of that plan this new year.
I would like to share more techniques and lessons I learned. I would love it if you would share with me as well.
The list of resolutions/goals is long. Longer than previous years. I wonder if I am up for the challenge.
- Knit a cardigan
- Knit more from my knitting books and Ravelry library
- Rearrange my Ravelry queue. It is wicked obese and honestly a bit daunting.
- Try to knit from my deep stash more more
- Take better notes on my projects
And you, what does the new year look like to you? Maybe you are over the whole resolutions things or maybe you're like me, and have a plan of attack?
I have so many wishes for you all in the new year. Mainly I wish you happiness in abundance.
XO
Andi
More knitting, more crochet, more spinning, more tea drinking, more intentional crafting time are my resolutions for the new year.
I can't wait to see what you have to share in 2014! Best always to you Andi. Here's wishing you a crafty 2014 and may it also be everything else your heart desires.

Those are my resolutions exactly - I'm glad many of us have the same list; it'll make it easier to accomplish if we all cheer each other on.
Looking forward to enjoying your blog in 2014.
Happy New Year!

Great plan. I particularly love the deep stash concept. Is that stash that is say over a year old or yarn particularly resistant to busting? I made a review and a set of resolutions and then freaked out...it was an overwhelming list. I am just knitting myself into calm and will try again soon.happy new year

I love your post Andi, sounds perfect.
My new resolutions are maybe a little selfish, but I would love to knit a little more for myself. Most of the items I knit I give away, but there are a few items I would love to have for myself. That being said, first I need to finish the cardigan I am knitting for my grandfather :)
Happy New Year! May 2014 be everything you wish it to be.

As to your resolutions: ditto!

I am looking forward to your KAL. I love how you use a bowl to keep the yarn balls rather than letting it roll on the floor as you knit (looking for a "knitting bowl" as we speak.

Ha! Your list definitely looks like mine. Knit More!! But I noticed I have a new habit of knitting less things at a time. When I prepare to cast on something new, I visit the queue, shuffle and play with 4 or 5 options and yes, sometimes pick something no where near my 70 odd items in the queue (how'd that happen?)

Happy new year!!
Did you choose a cardigan to knit yet?

It's hard not to get caught up in making resolutions this time of year! I'm terrible at keeping them but I'm still making a little list...but I'm calling it my crafting "hopes" to take some of the pressure off.
Best of luck with your resolutions. I'm excited to see what 2014 brings here on your blog!
