Happy Sunday...wait no, it is only Friday. Early posting for me, right? That is because I have been given the opportunity to review a book for you all today and give a copy away.

The book is Knitted Mitts & Mittens by Amy Gunderson.

Into knitting mitts, then this book is for you?
25 patterns to choose from (the sister has already picked out a couple she would like).
The designer give you endless choices. If you are into fun and funky, they are here. Classic mitts that can be for either male or female, love that.

Case and point, Big and Little Bamboo. Quite excellent in the lovely hay color, but I see them in a bright fuschia yarn. The colorwork ones below are rather fantastic.

I read through this book for you. Front to back. My very favorite part was the Stitch and Technique guide which can be found at the back. Everything from tips for reading charts, blocking, and techniques used in the book, are contained in the last 23 pages. It was extremely informative. Don't you love it when designers include thise gems?

This looks like a cool book! I really like the scunchy ones on the back of the book. They look like they'd be fun to make.

I have always wanted to knit "flip top mittens", so that would be the one for me....plus I have gradient yarn. Great collection of mitts.
The fish ones my grandkids would love!

I'm not entering because I have way too many books that have hardly been touched. But that fading mitts pattern looks really cool. Have fun watching the entries rack up and then choosing a winner.

My favourite (hard to pick just one) are the fade fingerless gloves. Please somehow delete this because I'm not in the USA; I just wanted to comment :)

I use fingerless mitts all the time to ward off the AC chill at work. There are a lot of great mitts, but having visited Coventry, those will definitely be the first I knit. Thank you!

So many great patterns! I can't decide between purple pixie or brown sugar. Or maybe the fish...

It's hard for me to decide between the flip flop, Swedish brown sugar and coventry. This book could be the answer to my Christmas list this year.
