Happy Sunday...wait no, it is only Friday. Early posting for me, right? That is because I have been given the opportunity to review a book for you all today and give a copy away.

The book is Knitted Mitts & Mittens by Amy Gunderson.

Into knitting mitts, then this book is for you?
25 patterns to choose from (the sister has already picked out a couple she would like).
The designer give you endless choices. If you are into fun and funky, they are here. Classic mitts that can be for either male or female, love that.

Case and point, Big and Little Bamboo. Quite excellent in the lovely hay color, but I see them in a bright fuschia yarn. The colorwork ones below are rather fantastic.

I read through this book for you. Front to back. My very favorite part was the Stitch and Technique guide which can be found at the back. Everything from tips for reading charts, blocking, and techniques used in the book, are contained in the last 23 pages. It was extremely informative. Don't you love it when designers include thise gems?

Hi Andi - Wow there are several designs that I would like to make. I find fingerless mitts quite practical and are great for those single skeins of artisan yarns you can't resist at fiber fests. So which is my favorite? Don't know, but I would probably cast on Coventry first, and I have a single skein of a natural dark beige that would be perfect for them.

I like the Coventry mitts. Lovely book with lots of pattern choices! Something for everyone in your life.

With just a quick flip through the photos there were 5 that I would really like to make.
Go Your Own Way - I would cast on in a heartbeat.
Energy Mitts - what a great way to try putting zippers on knitting but on a small scale!
It's a fish eat fish world - OMG so cute! I know a couple little boys that would love them.
Smart gloves - brilliant! And I really do need to do some fingers one of these days.
Gradient Flip Top - another technique I've been meaning to learn.
And those are just the ones I like with only pictures as info! (I did check out Amy's page on Ravelry - book not on her designer page yet. I will be monitoring though!)
Pick one? Can't do it!

I really like the Fade fingerless gloves. Coventry and Punk Opera Long Mitts look good too.
