Surprise! Happy Wednesday to you all. Now you know I don't normally post midweek, but I have something fun to share with you. Isn't it an amazing community that we all share through our blogs, Ravelry, yarn dyers, and podcasts?
I am posting today about the podcasts, or rather one in particular. Ashley of the Woolful podcast has joined the talented group of people who entertain us with stories of their fiber ventures.
"My hope is to bring something new to the fiber community that will inspire makers, dreamers and wool lovers alike. This podcast is unlike any other, focusing on the fiber industry as a whole, from sheep to sweater, including guests from every facet of the craft and industry. Knitters, dyers, fiber processors, shepherds, designers, spinners, proprietors and so many more."

Being a huge fan of Ashley's blog, I was eagerly awaiting the release of her first episode Tuesday. It was like getting up early Christmas morning and getting ready for all the excitement of the day. The coffee was made and knitting was in hand. All there was left to do was to hit play. Not surprisingly it was a brilliant podcast.Ashley is a natural with her ability to engage with her guests. You would never know that this was the first episode.

I was honored to be one of her featured guests in a segment called, Man on the streets. What a lovely opportunity. Even had I not been asked to be part of Ashley's great new venture, I would still have had the same rave review. I loved it!
When you get a few minutes have a listen, it is well worth your time. Don't forget to grab your knitting. :)
Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow to everyone in the US.
Have the best day today!
XO,
Andi
Thank you for sharing Andi, sounds like a podcast for me as I'm falling out of love with a few of the ones I used to listen to all the time (not because of anything on their part, I'm just shifting my focus in general and that leads to not listening as much...).

Hi Andi,
I have gotten my sister-in-law for our family's secret santa gift exchange. She is an avid knitter, though I'm not really sure where she falls on the scale of beginner to expert. I think she's done mostly blankets, scarves, and hats, but always with some intricate or complex pattern or texture. I know nothing about knitting, so my question is, could you recommend a knitting tool perhaps or maybe a kind of yarn that an average knitter probably doesn't have and/or wouldn't buy for herself? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Secret sister-in-law
