Hello and Happy Easter!
How does this beautiful Sunday find you? It has been a good week and now I am looking forward to time with my family in celebration of Easter.
My sock goal of finishing a pair a month is still going strong. These new favs (something I say about every single pair the come off the needles), are knit with yarn from Wooly Wonka Fibers in the color way, Provence with a contrasting heel and toe from scrap yarn in my stash.
My April socks are in progress. The pattern for these is Dublin Bay Socks and the yarn is Lynai in the color Bloom.
I was honored to be featured in an interview on Junkyarn's blog. Kemper allowed me to ramble on about my sock yarn blanket. I believe it is going to be a series, so I am looking forward to reading about other peeps and their blankets.
Sock yarn scrap swapping is still happenings. Can I say how funny I find it that I get sooooo excited when I receive these little lovelies in the mail?
How could someone resist the urge to knit on this fun blanket when so many fantastic minis are being received?
Did you have a lot of knit happenings this week? Let me ask you something. Do you notice a decline in your knitting during warmer months? Just one of those random questions that popped in my head.
I will leave you with Happy Easter wishes and a lovely song.
Have the best day today!
XO,
Andi
LOVE both pairs of socks, and of course you know how I feel about the blanket. Congratulations!

I love that sock pattern, so lovely with those pinks.
Also loving your finished socks and as always the blanket. This week I am using up scrap yarn for some yarn bombing in a couple of weeks. It's been pretty fun to be honest.
As for the question - I think I find myself knitting MORE in the spring, because I love doing it outside and working on warm weather items. Happy Easter Andi!

The blanket's looking great! I had to pack mine away for our move. Now that we're here, I'm trying to resist the temptation to pull it back out until I've finished a few new pairs of socks.

Your April socks will be so beautiful, I love the pattern and the colour.
I've been knitting a lot this Easter weekend. I finished an R&R Hoodie for the baby of a friend of mine. It's currently blocking (and not drying because of the damp weather) and I still need to sew the zipper in. Then I knit a little toy zebra for the same baby with left over yarn and I am totally in love with it (everybody in my family wants their own knit zebra now ;-) These two things will stay with us until the baby is born which could be any day.

Happy Easter dear Andi.
Your blanket is coming right along and is looking so pretty.
No, my knitting doesn't slow down one bit during the summer, just the location of where I knit...in front of the wood stove or on the shore line of the Atlantic, as long as I'm knitting I'm happy. :)

Love the socks. I always say that about my latest pair as well.. but one pair has to be favourite! The yarn of your April socks is gorgeous (and I adore First Aid Kit)

no....must knit every day, but I do find I want to knit different kinds of things. At the moment, I'm not particularly happy with my grey stash (EEEK---can you believe that ME saying this>???) and most definitely don't want to be knitting on this behemoth of a grey blanket I have going. I'm on the prowl for something springier and more fun!!! Any ideas?

Lovely socks - great idea making a pair a month. I started a pair the other week but wasn't happy with the yarn - i need to invest in some beautiful yarn and try again. Happy Easter Andi.

Oh my gosh that Lynai yarn colorway is so beautiful! I just went and ordered myself 1 skein of Bloom because it just looks so lovely.
Happy Easter!

I want to make the blanket! I know I don't have enough scrap yarn to get very far. I will figure something out because I do want to make it.
I like to knit all of the time--every month--but I have not been able to knit for awhile. I am consumed with finishing my Master's degree. I miss knitting! I think the blanket would be perfect to pick up when I have a few free minutes.
I love your posts!

I can't say my knitting decreases in the summer months. I feel it increases a little. I have more time in the summer, but that's not the reason why it increases. I begin Christmas knitting in summer, as i usually have 8 gifts to knit, and i try to get them all done before December. Recently, though it has been getting warmer, i've been working on the beekeeper's quilt, knitting hexis, so knitting isn't as uncomfortable as it would be if I was knitting a shawl or a sweater

All those little yarn balls strung on the knitting needle are sooo fun! I can well imagine how inspiring it must be to be receiving all those little cuties in the mail. It will be a blanket to treasure! Happy Easter!

Enjoyed reading your interview. You must flash this project often. Many donaters will have fun looking her sock scraps and smile. I love your contrasting socks. I will have to try that on my next pair. And I love how bloom is knitting up.

I like those Dublin Bay socks a lot and so I added another pattern to my favorites. Yours are so pretty!

During warmer months socks are the best knitting project in my opinion (although they are a wonderful project idea during cold winter months, too).
I always keep a sock WIP in my bag - it's my portable project to go everywhere with me.
And your socks look wonderful by the way!
I am a big fan of contrast heels and toes, too.
:)

Don't tempt me with those pretty mini skeins! They are just too lovely.
Over Easter I finished a shawl in DK and I will be blocking it this week - unless my cold decides to stick around longer than I want it to. The shawl is going to a yarn shop as a sample knit so I don't want to keep it for too long.
Over the warmer months I tend to knit a lot as well, but I might throw in some spinning too. I didn't spin at all this winter!

Oh, I do love that blanket and I can imagine the delight in receiving sweet minis in the mail! There's a whole lot of joy in that... the beauty of the yarn, no doubt; but, also the beauty of knitters sharing one with another. =) Makes a heart especially happy.
I had to chuckle about the way whichever socks are on your needles are your new favs (only because I absolutely relate to whatever I'm doing to be my own new favorite!). hehee
Have a blessed week, Andi.

that new pair of sock looks amazing, love the little textured detail! Haven't knit on my blanket lately but just joined a couple swaps so excited for the mail to get here for sure!

Love the yarn for your Dublin Bay socks! And all of those lovely minis must make working on the blanket so much fun! I knit pretty constantly throughout the year, though my blanket projects get pushed aside in the really warm months.

happy Easter! Love those dublin bay socks immensely, I think because that would not be a color I ordinarily would pick but seeing it knit up, well, it's gorgeous!!

I'm finding myself trying to finish up a bunch of projects before it gets warm and I lose ALL mojo!
