Hello! We made it through yet another week- Hooray. :)
Sock Pattern~ Blueberry Waffles Socks Yarn~ Misti Alpaca Sock- Cerise
Felt like a long week. Did it feel especially long to you as well? One of my "goals" this week was to go through my works in progress basket and finish up some lingering projects.
That would prove to be no small task as you can see from the WIP basket. If it were possible it would be busting at the seams.
Do you remember when you were young and were told to clean your room. Rather than cleaning you starting playing with stuff or finding hidden treasure. Same situation happened here. I emptied the basket then thought, hmmm...I will take a little break from the very hard work and knit a few stitches.

Then somehow in all the not organizing, I cast on a new shawl. How does that happen? How did my attempt to minimize my knits turn into increasing them? I blame it on good old fashion temptation. Can't seem to resist all the pretty things. Good thing I have come to terms with the fact that I am a process knitter.
Do your best knitting intentions ever turn on you?
I'll leave you with some serious eye candy. You have knitting, yarn, farms and incredible landscape of Iceland. What more could you ask for...enjoy!

Have the best day today!

You have some lovely projects on the go. .. of course you need to play, not tidy :)

Your post brought back a fairly recent memory. My daughter had graduated college and was in her own place for a few years. I asked if she could come over and go through the boxes she had left in her old room. After a few hours she cried for help - it was too hard to sort and toss, she just wanted to play in the memories. It has been 5 years since that day and we have yet to get those boxes sorted out but it keeps her coming over to visit 😊

Tidying up your yarn/knits is the best way to get a burst of new inspiration. It happens to me every time!

I've been really disiplined lately, but sometimes it's hard. All those lovely socks lined up are just screaming "Knit me!". I wish I had that many socks.

"Do you remember when you were young and were told to clean your room. Rather than cleaning you starting playing with stuff or finding hidden treasure." This a million times.
Ah the Andi quotes are growing.
Favorite photo: The In Progress Sock Line-up. Love it!No co-inky-dink it's pink, eh?
I'm so knitting distracted.

All your WIPs are so lovely, but I can totally understand how you got lured by the siren song of a new project! especially if the others were at stages that, for whatever reason, made them difficult to work on at the moment.

This made me giggle. I am forever feeling restless and wanting to cast on new things! I sure love all those lovely "in process" socks and would love to wear them myself!

Oh Andi, love your beautiful knitted work. I have been cleaning as well. We are moving to North Dakota so some packing has started. I have found some of my old projects that I need to finnish. That shawl has a gorgeous color Andi and your knitting is so pretty.

I guess we all have good knitting intentions, but sometimes temptations get the best of us. At the moment I am trying to avoid my yarn cabinet as much as possible. There are some WIPs in there that desperately need attention, but right next to them is so much yarn that wants to be cast on as well. I should probably start storing my WIPs in a less tempting place.

You knit with joy and delight. Go where the joy takes you I say. It seems to be looking after you just fine.

This week has seemed strangely long to me too, and lots of other people have said similarly on their blogs this week too! Hmm... strange how we seem to go through phases like this in the blogosphere!
Those socks are GORGEOUS!! So pretty! :) No wonder you were tempted to work on them!

It's so funny when yarn accidentally gets cast on. I haven't done that in awhile. Perhaps some yarn will jump onto my needles this weekend.

Hahaha - how DOES that happen : ) Funny, I haven't remembered those room cleaning times in a long while but that's exactly what I did....hmmm I see a new generation of room cleaning exercises in the works.... Hurray for the weekend after a long week! I hope your weekend feels twice as long as your week but in the best of ways. xo

That soo funny...my little guy has the same problem to when I tell him to clean up his legos!! Yes the UFO baskets often tend to be inspiring and lead to more UFO's!!!
