Boy, do I have a fantastic giveaway for you. I am super excited because I get to share with you the love that is, SpinningFates. If you have been reading me a while, it is possible that you are aware of my undying devotion for Laurel and her beautiful yarn.

 

 

My sock drawer is filled with beautiful socks knit up in SpinningFates. There are more than are seen here. :)  Obviously the colors in Laurel's shop are fantastic, but that is only a small reason for my passion. The luxury of knitting with the yarn, the customer service and overall great product will make me a forever patron of this shop.

A self-proclaimed 'yarn-a-holic', I love all things fiber!  My passions are dyeing and knitting, while taking the occasional time out to learn to spin.  My own flock is growing and I soon hope to include their fleeces in my shop.  I also love embellishments, and feel that every knitter should have beautiful tools to work with.

Such beautiful yarn, Andi. I can see why you are a fan! Right now I'm feeling simple stripes--skinny pale gray and white stripes with heels and toes in solid gray. Classic combination and as cozy as sweatpants.

Those Blasted Unicorns is exactly what I have been looking for--bright, clear rainbow colors--my ideal color combo. I figure, if I am going to knit socks, they are going to be colorful--no plain black/brown/gray socks for me!

I love autumn colours so my choice would be a rusty rich orange with a golden yellow and a shade of brown. Maybe with a little green in there for fun.

Oh my goodness, a favorite color combination. In honor of my mom I would say pink and dove grey. Pink was her favorite color, the color of pink peonies. What fun it would be to make a pair of socks to honor her.

There are just too many combos of self-striping yarn to have a favorite! I love seeing others put together colors I'd never think to combine. I loved the Peonies colorway from Spinning Fates. My grandmother had gorgeous peonies!

Oh, I always gravitate to the red/orange/yellow colors. Although I've been seeing some purple/turqoiuse/silver variations that are lovely.

OMG! Those colors! I love them all, but if I had to choose, I think I like Those Blasted Unicorns. Although since it is pre-order I'm not sure it counts. Current color combo- maybe the Crab Shack.

Uh, um, that's a tough one!
hm I think I love "Peonies" from her shop right now.
But if I could just dream of a self-striping in my fav colors right now, I think it would be a yellow, but a rich, warm one like daffodils with a hint of the almost-orange part in the middle of the flower (can you tell that I don't really know anything about flowers? :-)) striped with a light shade of grey, maybe a rather cold one that almost hints into teal or turquoise colors.
Or maybe just a nice rainbow?

That skein is beautiful! I believe my (current) ideal self-striping would be based on a cross-stitch project I'm working on. Halloween colors with pinks and mint thrown in. It's surprising and amazing!
