Happy Sunday to you!
It feels like forever since we had a proper chat. First off, how are you and how was your week?

Did you squeeze some knitting into your days and nights? I did because I put myself on a sort of knitting schedule.
For some life is busy and yarn-time is hard to come by, sometimes to the point where maybe late night knitting comes into play. I have the opposite problem. While I do have a 9-5, I find myself having to rein in my knitting time. What a problem to have, right? When I get home from work, I could easily sit down and knit till bedtime, despite things like laundry and dishes stacking up. So I came up with a plan to treat my stitches as a prize where if I do all my "chores", I can then sit down and let the needles to click away. Then there are projects that tend to monopolize my knit time like the sock yarn blanket, and in cases like this I make it my Sunday only project which can be worked on after housework has been completed. Sounds like a plan to me. :)
Do you ever find yourself having to schedule your knitting time into your non-knitting life?
Enjoy a lovely video and have the best day today!

XO,

Since I tend to be busy through the day, evening is when I tend to knit. But I certainly know that you're not alone doing the knitting-as-reward after accomplishing chores. I know others who treat it that way and I think that's a terrific idea!
We have company staying with us this week so I won't be putting anything new on my needles until after they leave. It really feels weird not knitting :-)

Knitting is supposed to be the perpetual carrot I dangle over my chores to get them done. The truth is my chores barely skim the surface of survival. Cooking, dishes, laundry, a bathroom toilet scrubbed. It's the other stuff, the paperwork, the sorting and decluttering that I'm horrible at. Yet I would never get to knit so I don't do that stuff very often. In fact anything I do, is quickly undone by the time I get around to the next step. sigh. But I do love to knit!

What is the name of the yarn in your beautiful photo? I like the tea cup too. I too have wondered if colors from yarn leftovers bleed into each other when washed.

Despite being totally passionate for knitting, it never gets first priority. It gets the gaps and left overs between kid's activities, chores, study. One day it will be first, but for now it's gaps.

That tea looks like it's to die for...

I think the fact that it has taken me almost a week to reply says it all. I try to do something little every day. Sometimes i succeed and sometimes i don't. Most of my knitting and other creative endeavours happen on the weekend.
