Happy Sunday!
How was your week? Before going further, thank you so much for all your brilliant work lunch ideas! I tried a "recipe" from Rebecca and will share below in case you missed it in the comments. I am going to try a few more in the coming weeks-thank you!
Finally some fun knitterly news, I finished some socks. Whoo hoo! I have to say I have knit with some beautiful yarns and of those many I thought were "so me", but this yarn sings to my knitting heart.
These are a plain vanilla sock. The yarn is LYNAI yarns in the color Ginny. Fun fact (or not), if the yarn is Harry Potter themed...I will buy it. The pink toe is Madeline Tosh Sock in the color Carnation.
New socks (top pic) have already been cast on. Possible to have 2 pairs finished in one month? Let's hope so.
On to not so knitty, but a great companion. Tea! I received a couple of inquiries about this fun tea bag holder that I use for my loose leaf tea. This fun accessory is from STASH teas and I cannot tell you how brilliant I think it is. Takes my tea drinking enjoyment to another level.
Thanks to a very kind and generous Camille from STASH, I am able to give away 3 of these fun brewing helpers to 3 of you. Each package contained 40 filter bags with 1 tea bag holder. I will also throw in some loose leaf tea to help you get your brew on. Thank you so much Camille and STASH! In the comments just let me know you would like to win one and I will draw 3 winners on Sunday the 21st and contact the winners via email. This giveaway is open world-wide.
Back to the lovely lunch idea from Rebecca:
On Sunday, or at some point ahead of time I like to cook several boneless, skinless chicken breasts up. First, I cut the raw chicken into bite size cubes, and then put them in a saute pan with a little olive oil and salt and pepper. Cook them until they are just starting to brown and then add balsamic vinegar, rather generously, enough to make sure all the pieces get thoroughly coated. Cook a few minutes longer on medium high heat, stirring so all pieces absorb the vinegar on all sides and it just starts to carmelize. I then stash the cooked chicken in the fridge and on workday mornings, I put a cup and a half or so of mixed frozen vegetables (I like the california mix or a stir fry mix) in a microwavable container, add a handful of the cooked chicken and pop it in my lunch box. In another little container, I take a 1/4 c or so of shredded cheese, mozzarella or cheddar usually, but whatever you like. AT lunchtime, I microwave the veg/chicken for a couple minutes until the vegetables are heated through, sprinkle with the cheese and toss. Yummy, super easy, and filling. You can change things up with different add-ins with the chicken, garlic, different spices etc. Play around and see what you like.
What would I do without you all? Thank you for stopping by despite my lateness in replies and for sharing bits of yourself with me.
Have the best day today and enjoy a sweet tune. :)
XO,
Andi

What a wonderful idea these filter bags are. My husband and I love tea and have a great quantity of loose tea and the tea ball we have are ones that has seen much better days. These look like the solution for us. I have not seen anything like this before. I enjoy the flavor of the Stash tea that we have.
Thank you for the opportunity to be included in this.

Congratulations on your new socks. They are so pretty. The Carnation toes are just made for those socks!
The colors on the pair you have just cast on are gorgeous! They remind me of Australian ringneck parrots. Made me smile and brought back some great memories of Fred, my ringneck, that I had when I was growing up.
I've just had a look on the STASH website...oh my! Such yummy looking teas! I can see some leaf tea and a teapot in my near future from there. I'd love to be in the drawing for the one cup filters, what a clever idea!

I love that website and I'm so grateful that you have been letting us know about it. I'd love to try the one cup filters - those haven't made it to my shopping cart (yet.)
