Awesome socks, your mom is going to love them! Shawl star sounds awesome, I'll have to check it out.

Some of my sock yarn has been frogged back so many times I actually start to feel sorry for it. Glad your yarn found its rightful pattern.

All of your socks look beautiful!

I want to get faster at knitting socks. A pair of socks seems to take me forever to finish. Well, both of my first two pairs each took over a year to finish. I'm on my third pair and have been working on them for almost 6 months. One sock is finished except for the heel. The other one lacks an inch to the heel. I'm trying to narrow down how many projects I'm working on at once. We'll see if it helps.

So great you are meeting your goals AND finishing things! I like both of those socks, but the first speckled ones sing to me more.
9 year old stash! I have been knitting almost ten years and I do still have some yarn I purchased that first year...

Have a wonderful week!

your mom is going to love your socks!! I would. I haven't thought much of altering my knitting goals however, I do like to dream of casting on new projects!

Oh, I'm so glad you finally figured out what that yarn was for! I have a skein of olive green yarn that I've had since I started knitting, and I still can't figure out what pattern it wants to be!

oooo Love the socks. I'm back into knitting after taking an unintended break & also have tried to reevaluate my knitting goals.
Keep knitting!
