Happy Sunday!
I missed last Sunday, please forgive me. While I can't promise that I will post every Sunday, I can tell you I will try very hard. I am still in a temporary home setting, so at times it is hard for me to feel settled enough to create a post. Does that make sense?
I can tell you that my knitting has increased lately, thanks in large part to a cast on party I had midweek. Not really sure what came over me but I look at the sock WIPs on my needles and frogged what was no longer bringing me joy and cast on new ones that I feel will.
My dear friend, Anne of Wooly Wonka Fibers gifted me this gorgeous skein of herself-striping yarn. It is called Luna & Heartease. Since this picture a lot more progress has been made as you know how self-striping yarn can be...just one more row.
Just because I cast on all the socks, doesn't mean that I have forgotten about my Forever and Always socks. They are nearing the finish line and just in time because they are being knit for a KAL in the My Sister's Knitter group.
You may have noticed that I have been reading lots of Maya Angelou lately. I have read her biographies before but it has been so long that they seem new again. I am currently on the 3rd. Reading any good books lately, as I am looking for some recommendations?
I will be back midweek with an exciting review.
Enjoy a song and have the best day today!
XO,
andi
I am trying very hard to do some finish knitting and not cast on anything new. Good to see a post from you.

Such beautiful socks Andi. I love the self striping yarn, and oh that cable on the Forever and Always sock! It’s so cute. I have three pairs of socks on needles at the moment which is why I haven’t cast on a pair myself. I might just have to frog a couple things too so I can start a pair. Happy Spring! I recently read Where The Crawdads Sing and liked it. Always happy to read your blog no matter when you post:)

Those are beautiful! No wonder you’re inspired to knit more.

what a great idea, to frog any wips that you just weren't feeling anymore! Frees up the needles for projects that you are loving right now, which is great. I love those gorgeous socks, both new pairs in the works!

Both pairs of socks look very pretty. You will be ready for Spring. Yes - frog those projects that are not bringing you joy. Life is short and knitting is for fun, relaxation, and joy.

I love a good "rip out the old, cast on with the new" session! Also that pink yarn looks like bubblegum ice cream and I am here for that.

beautiful socks and I have to feel settled to write on the blog, this part time babysitting has taken up more time than usual but I know it's not forever and it will end because the child will grow!!

Oh, that self-striping yarn is delightful! I hear you about not feeling settled—when I moved last summer, I think I didn't manage to do anything productive for at least three weeks, and that was just trying to settle into a new permanent abode! I can't imagine the stress that being in a temp home for so long would bring! Sending lots of warm thoughts your way <3
