This Tuesday finds me permanently planted to the couch with a case of the yucks. Therefore what better thing to do in between frequent naps, then to work on the potholder for my first potholder swap.I am using a mixture of cotton yarns, the pink is Tahki cotton classic (it's not one of my favorite cottons but I love the color) and the lime green is Knitpicks sport cotton. The colors remind me of a lite-brite I had when I was little. Do you remember it?
Yeah, that dates me a tad, doesn't it?
Anyhoo, the yucks had also given me the opportunity to visit a few sites in Blogland. I think I am going to have to stop my weekly visits because there is way too much inspiration out there. I already want to cast on at least 4 new projects and since I told myself I have to finish my current projects this is torture. The Twisted Goddess is working on an amazing blanket with Noro, called the Lizard Ridge. Kathryn Ivy has this incredible little sweater on a beautiful little one. Then there is Amanda with the most lush looking blue on the needles. (that is saying a lot since everyone knows blue is not my favorite color) Lastly there is Ruth Marie and this blanket that I would really love to have wrapped around me right now. Whew enough to make my head spin...then again I think it's the medicine head making my head spin. :)
I am going to go finish working on the potholder ( I promise it will be thoroughly sanitized before being mailed off)
