Happy Sunday!
Good morning or afternoon where ever you are in this big beautiful world. Despite all the sadness and humans inflicting pain on one another this week...the knitting is a constant. Which brings a question how do non-yarnies process all the devastating things that occur in the above mentioned big beautiful world?
I believe the human spirit is strong and some how we all cope with whatever tools we have. In our case it just happens to be with knitting needles, spinning wheels or crochet hooks.
On to happier things, thank you for all your wonderful words of wisdom about how you "beat the heat" of the Summer months. I am still making the best of it by feasting on Summer veggies and plenty of ice water.
Of course hot tea isn't far behind as I doubt I could ever give it up completely. Thanks to my dear friend Emma in the UK I now have some of my beloved Rose Lemonade infusion and a new addiction, Sweet Rhubarb. Oh my, Emma may have created an even bigger addict to this particular line of beverages.
Duck watching has continued. I think the ducks read last weeks post about how only a few of them stayed in Arizona and wanted to prove me wrong. So during my morning walk all these new ones showed up and my Mohawk duck is present again.
When I am not out visiting the ducks I am hiding from the sun indoors with this scrappy blanket. It is definitely a table only knit as any other option is not an option. No warm wool on my lap as I am not a strong enough person for that.
In a few I will be heading out to meet up with a friend for a mini knit together with breakfast. A rather wonderful way to start a Sunday, am I right? What are your plans for your Sunday? Did you make the most of your weekend?
I will leave you with a video that makes me cry happy tears because despite the sadness in our world, there is still quite a bit of love.
Have the best day today!
XO,
Andi
